An 8-Megapixel CCD, slim body, 3x optical zoom lens, anti-shake and a 2.5-inch LCD are key ingredients in Konica Minolta's newest compact digital camera, the DiMAGE X1.
Delivering the slimmest camera yet in its DiMAGE X series, Konica Minolta has announced the 20 mm thin DiMAGE X1. Incorporating a range of high-end functions, the camera is based around a 1/1.8-inch CCD with a resolution of 8 Megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens, featuring Konica Minolta's CxProcess III image processing technology running in tandem with electronic image stabilization.
At 95 x 68 x 19.5 mm and 135 g sans battery and media, the DiMAGE X1 contains the entirety of its lens mechanism within the body, offering a 7.7-23.1 mm focal range and an aperture of f3.5-3.8. With a start-up time of approximately 0.9 seconds, the camera sports a five-point autofocus in either spot or wide mode with the option of focus locking as well as ± 2EV exposure correction for the camera's auto exposure function.
