Speeds here are listed in MB/s (MegaBytes per second). You may also see some cards rated as 45x; 1x=150 kb/sec (kilobytes per second). The maximum speed you'll find is 10MB/s or about 65x. Also note that the actual performance of the card can vary based on the device (camera, pda, card reader). Therefore, a high-speed card will not improve the performance of some devices.
